New · 2025 Impact Report
When I founded Support Over Silence, I believed that ordinary people had more power to protect children and support families than anyone was giving them credit for. I believed that if we shared tools grounded in science and delivered with warmth and respect, neighbors would lean toward people in distress. And I believed that parents and caregivers needed a new model for protecting their children from abuse, exploitation, and trafficking.
In 2025, all of these beliefs were tested. And the most striking proof came in a single number: before Support Over Silence programs, 41% of participants said they would avoid a struggling caregiver and child. At three months, that number was zero.
This year, 384 people joined a Support Over Silence program and walked out differently. More than 84% left intending to act differently the next time they saw a caregiver struggling. When we asked them three months later, every attitude we measured had moved significantly in the right direction.
We now have 77 certified trainers carrying this program into their own communities, including schools, libraries, faith communities, healthcare organizations, and beyond.
Each program is designed to meet people where they are and walk them toward compassionate, confident action.
We don't just measure how participants feel walking out of the room. We follow up three months later, because lasting change is the only kind that protects kids.

An inside look at Olley, the first evidence-informed, parent-facing CSA prevention program of its kind.
Evidence-informed, parent-facing CSA prevention.
Most child sexual abuse prevention has been built for institutions. Olley puts the same rigor, and even more warmth, into the hands of parents and caregivers, where the most important conversations happen.
Be the steady one. Manage your own emotions so your child learns they can come to you with hard things.
Lead with connection. Prioritize relationship above all else, and repair when you mess up.
Listen with curiosity. Look beneath the behavior to understand what your child really needs.
Establish and enforce boundaries. Set clear limits around bodies, technology, and access to your child.
Remember you're not alone. Build a network of trusted adults so your child has many safe people to rely on.
